Did a 400 mile round trip today and I just love this car. Quiet, smooth, great power for quickly punting around something.
And it averaged an actual 19mpg with a bit of a binding brake, which I'm pleasantly surprised with!

Disco 3 4.4V8 VIN
Hello,
I´m an owner of a Disco 3 2.7 TDv6.
I decided to do the upgrade of the brake discs to the larger ones used on the V8.
In the front everything went ok, now I have an issue on the rear.
I bought the right part number SXP500014, Rear Calliper Carrier. I received the two boxes with the right part-numbers but the part inside is wrong. I already found in this forum that this is a common mistake, someone at LR warehouse made a mistake and inserted the wrong part inside the right box... I bought another one from brit-part to compare and the part from britpart is right and fits ok.
Well, now I need to return this to LR but they are asking me for the VIN of my Disco. My one is TDv6 and they will not accept my complaint saying "I ordered the wrong part-number..."
Can someone please send me as PM one VIN of the 4.4V8 so they could verify that the part they sent me should fit and that they made an mistake?
Thank you very much for your help

I took the plunge a couple of weeks back and am now the proud/bemused owner of a V8, still can’t quite believe I’ve done it... SWMBO still telling me off, but always with a big grin on her face
Drevilish - where did you get your lpg done, and which system is it?
Enjoying reading the challenges of ownership on here and impressed with the camaraderie.
Anyone prepared to recommend an independent specialist to give mine the once over and deliver me a verdict? Within, I don’t know, an hour of Twickenham?
Thanks

Welcome aboard. Quick word of advice, a valve lube system is essential on these if you do an lpg conversion. If not the valves will likely be gone within 60k miles. Mine has now done over 115k since the BRC lpg system was fitted and still runs great (175k on the clock now)
