I joined the V8 world last weekš
Will be needing to do an annual service in January and wondered what spark plugs and oil you guys are using ?
5w30 fully synth is what I believe I need but I have seen comment on the internet and lengthy debates about it being semi synth

Welcome to the exclusive V8 club
I have Denso IK16TT spark plugs. The vehicle starts in +33 .. - -34 degrees celsius, no issues.. They were out of NGK IFR5N10 and the Denso ones are just as good.
As for oil.... well. Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF 5W-30 is what I used the last time. Shell claims it is ok for D3 V8 and Iām consumer enough to believe them. I change at 10000 km (or 12 months).
Take a look at your battery. It isnāt part of a maintenance schedule but a lot of weirdness is contributed by having a weak one.

I'm aware of the need for a strong and fully charged battery on these new age land rovers. Get all sorts of odd things happening when the power begins to drop just that little bit
Thanks for the recommendation for the spark plugs I will make a note of them. Helix was on my list.
Fully inspected the tyres yesterday and it seems I'm going to need to replace them all too. It's a right mix match and they're all deteriorating in one way or another.

City tires, I have Nokian Black SUV 255/55R19. I have driven them for about half a year (effective) and theyāre fine. 6 mm left out of 7 mm.
In U.K. you probably donāt need studded tires but mine are Nokian Hakkapelliitta 9 SUV, same size.
People who drive everywhere or want to look rugged seem to like Duratrac.

Some good V8's out there.
What sort of mileage have they covered
