I am currently looking for a D3 V8 and I had a mechanic inspection done (I'm in Stirling) on that car. If you PM me your email address I'll send you the report.
There is no history with car at all. Its a fixer-upper but you can see the report and go from there

I just read your post again and I see you took it for a drive. The mechanic who took it for a drive for me did say it drove well.
I'm confused you have seen a service history and when I called the dealer, he told me there was no history!
But anyways if you would like to see the report I got then let me know!

Any big items?
Stick with the search. They come up now and then. Mulling over replacing mine this year with either an Si6 or a new P360 but its tough decision as I'm still happy with the V8. It my PHEV that causing all the issue (too many cars)

The thing which made me walk away was that the dipstick came up almost dry. But as Andy is close he can maybe get to the bottom of that.
Any ideas where the oil might have gone? Do these V8s burn oil?

Mine doesn't but mine is 140K miles younger than that one. They are quite sensitive to angle for the dip stick reading though 05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system

Mine is fine at 126k miles. Not a drop.
Changed every 6 to 7k but the oil coloring is still good at the change

so a quick google says that in general AJV8s in all their forms use all unless the breather system is clogged which does and appears easy enough to sort - but that could be written about just about any internal combustion engine with a closed loop crank case breather 05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system

My V8 at 106K barely used any oil. Maybe <.5L every 10K, which was the change interval. PAGODA

Yeah OK, so it's really odd that this car had so little...

well it is odd unless it was on a slope. it does also seem to take a hell of a time for all the oil to drain back 05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system
