Autocar has just taken a D5 long term test, again it’s on a 66 plate, also the SD4 engine. Hopefully this one fairs better.
We’re running this shiny new Discovery – about 10,000 miles on the clock, fresh from its first service, having served a few months’ time as a press demonstrator before it came to us – to see how well it will do the whole executive transport thing.
Hopefully being "fresh from its first service" they actually mean every fault that ever has been noted from any customer has been checked and double checked by LR technicians!!!! I understand Autocar have a JLR employee on their staff; have done for a long time.
