A bit late to the party but I was soooooo disappointed to find my 30 mile drive to work had been gritted all of the way so I had to monster it around the carpark to get a feel for the traction as its my first winter in a D3 - Just could not understand why it was so empty

Just got back home from shopping trip to Handforth Dean , rain all the way back till Bredbury when it changed to sleet .
Knew what to expect at home as we are above 900ft , snowing heavy and settling , traffic backed up around Mottram Moor , no prob with winter tyres on and ggs mode , many cars abandoned on main road already .
Forecast shows it easing up after rush hour in the morning .

Who knew that Sand Mode could be so much fun in the snow... making 4 wheel rooster tails while going nowhere fast in an empty car park. Childish but satisfying. And as for the drifting that's then possible
But when I do grow up and press the right buttons, I'm not so keen on the dirty looks you get every time you don't stop and help someone push their 2wd car up a slight incline as you effortlessly waft past.

I laughed so much on Sunday at all the ditched 4x4s who thought they could exceed the laws of physics
Left the 4x4s all at home even though they are all on winters and took the 2wd Nemo out on CrossClimates looked so smug overtaking under total control loads of Discos (There are other 4x4s)
Did any of you notice not one eastern block car or vanwas stuck
Moral if you have a euro box on up to 18's you wont go wrong with fitting Michelin CrossClimates as your only tyres as proven this weekend they are a true all-season tyre which are 3PMS rated
