Dextron 4 dosn't dound right to me!!! I wouldn't run it until it is confirmed you have the correct oil in It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

ah, indeed what the other guys have said ref the dexron
surely though , the person who fitted it should have checked the type of oil
just hope it hasn’t done any damage to ur gearbox

Take the pipe off on the radiator, stood at the front of the car it's the top one one the right hand side of the radiator held on with a jubilee type hose clip the size of a hosepipe, do not start or have engine running, a very small amount (1/2 tea spoon) of oil will come if the oil is red it is highly likely it is the wrong oil. The oil is usually a light honey/bronze colour depending on make and age/mileage, but there is one brand that is scarcely used that is red.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Mannol and Revenol both produce ATF that is suitable and recommended, both for 6 or 8 speed ZF boxes. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Yea there are others but where I went only had zf lifeguard or dextron
Anyway don’t think it’s anything to do with the oil
Maybe I’m
Being paranoid but as I never had a auto before and don’t know
Any one else with one to compare it with
Starting to wish I had brought a manual one now as all the horror stories with a auto I just don’t trust the thing now as I pull a caravan around France 4 weeks every year and had a vivaro minibus before this and never missed a beat Just struggled up mountains when towingDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
