Must say it sounds rough, how much oil was put in? have you checked the oil level?- it must be checked with the engine running.It can when others can't,

About 9 lifters was put in I’m gonna jack up tomm and check it again though don’t think it’s that it’s def from torque convertor as it sounds really loud through the inspection hole just don’t know how loud is to loud and it does sound worse on the video than it actually is the the earDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

I’m just wondering if it’s worth pulling the starter motor and checking the bolts are tight from convertor to flex plate any one have any ideas what else it could beDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

I tell u what just been out to ichexk the oil level drove round for it to get up to temp and undone plug on gearbox and loads of oil came out I recon 1-1 1/2 liters
Drove it round and the noise is all but gone its so faint that I can hardly hear it also seems to have more torque now unless I’m imaging itDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

did u use a thermometer whilst checking the oil level , did u check the level with the engine running or off plse
what was the colour of the ATF oil

Engine running and yes checked temp with diagnostic toolbut if you listen to both videos it’s def so much quieter although not completely gone but there again I’m trying to hear itDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

And oil was red dextron 6 and states it was for that gearbox but oil is really dirty already considering it’s only done 500 miles since it was changed with the converterDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

I would drain it and put the Land Rover recommended ZF Lifeguard in ASAP.

Was thinking that but bit hard to drain all the oil as convertor holds loads and carnt be drained from what I’ve readDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Well one of the forum Mechanics will be on soon to tell you how to drain it properly, it obviously can be done, but best to get it flushed by an expert with the specialist machine as it sounds like there may be dirty oil and possible debris from the old converter still in there..
