Tend to agree.
D5 is growing on me. (Not literally DG).
Spending this afternoon at Westover JLR for the grand opening of their new Aftersales Facility so will leave my wallet in the office.

Leave the D5 open here on D3/4 as that was the forum I joined. Never understood why I had to create a new sign-in for the sister sites (having had Evoques, FFRR, DS, etc.) and don't want to do that just to yak about one specific model so suits me to do it on here

The D5 has not penetrated in me as in his day did the D3, and only the D3 and not the D4.....
.... but I recognize that today is an expired car, and if I had to choose today, although I repeat that this time I do not obsess....
......the D5 It would be my choice possibly, and I do not have it because I can not afford it right now.
That's the truth!!!It is very good here. lost in translation!

I fail to understand why some D5 members dislike people on this forum talking about the D5 whether it's good or bad, after all they have a shiny new forum that apparently is so much better than this one!
They say they find it tiresome but still behave like moths around a light bulb! Stu

I’m not bothered either way. I’m here for the craic now.
Whilst I still have a 4 I’m interested in the subject, but it’s more than just a car forum now. If it wasn’t for this forum and the people I’ve met through it, my life so far would have been very different I’m sure.

I’m homeless, no Velar forum. There is a couple but not as well run as Martins. The D5 forum is helpful as the software issues are similar and on here I find out what I’m missing by selling my D4. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

It doesn’t matter how much the D5 is spoken about, how good it may be to drive, how good it is off-road, 95% of car buyers buy a car because they like it’s looks, I have yet to hear anyone say they like its looks, MHO for what it’s worth - it’s an ugly b d that I have no desire to own. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

This is by far the better, funnier page for D5s. Coming here and having a chuckle reading some of the comments is brilliant.
I go on the disco5 page just to read the faults and fixes. It's interesting to read the issues D5 owners are having as I have a growing number of friends getting them. One had their 6 month old lux have a gearbox fault yesterday. I love my silver box of right angles too much to ditch it for a D5. TB brutally H, I'm am also a little scared because of the number of faults experienced by the D5 contingent ....
I say leave this page. It does no harm. If people don't like it then 'move along'. My16 HSE Landmark - 2016 - Current. Indus Silver

I like it's look. I think the inside, which is more important to me as that is where I sit and operate the car, is just about now up todate with all the other manufacturers... at last. D3 07 SE - still going strong

All this talk of moving the D5 away... Think it's a bit rude us lovely D3 people have to share our database with the millionaire snobs with their D4's - let alone the D5's who must all be porn stars and premier league footballers or something.. D3 07 SE - still going strong

Funnily enough, I met that person yesterday
I pulled up at the lights and an early 20's man looked up from his car and told me how much he liked "my" car (the loaner D5) He was white and this was rural Cornwall, but he talked like a black rap artist, which was really incongruous!
So there's Gerald's broad target market 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

I know my place.
I don’t think I would ever have a D5 again. I liked it but didn’t love as much as I should’ve for its price. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
