In all fairness, in FY2016 the D4 was the 3rd worst selling vehicle after the Defender and the Freelander. In FY2015 it was the 4th worst seller - only Discovery Sport, Defender and Freelander sold worse... or fourth best after Evoque, RRS and FFRR.
(And we both kind of ignored that FL ended and DS started during FY2015, Defender ending in FY2016)

Hopefully Homer didn’t design it? It’s not that bad.
Here’s his earlier work. Note not getting to see the rear end.

TBH the article is 99.9% speculation and recirculating on of older articles. Good job, writing a few pages without saying anything new
While there is a lot to be said (or not) on where cars are being manufactured, most companies do make planning based on volume and costs. JLR wouldn’t be in Slovakia if costs and subsidies didn’t matter.
That some vehicles are still being put together where they’ve always been (Detroit, Ohio....) could also mean that it hasn’t made sense to ever move away.

You would have thought though that the premium product would be built in the more expensive country and the more numerous cheaper products built in the cheaper country. Maybe they’ve seen how well Skodas are built and reckon they’ll get a better product built in that general area.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
