Need some recommendations!
Been away for a few days, but now got to get on top of my engine dilemma...
Current Indy having trouble with any sensible prices to proceed and get the impression he may not want the job....
I wanted a compression test done to determine some sort of info on damage, but that also involves removing glow plugs.....so I know where that could lead...
Trying to figure out what’s best route - exchange engine, replace top end, canal...
Ideally, want someone to just rebuild what’s there, engine turns over, so thinking maybe just top end and the associated possible damage.
Is this route worth pursuing or should I be thinking replace engine?
Any recommendations on garages that can do the job keeping it financially viable against the car’s value??

Having had some quotes and chats to people I think Genuine LR refurb is this route I’m going to take.
My D3 is a damn nice one, so sticking a £3000 recon supply/fitted (that’s cash mate ) engine in it is not giving me much confidence!
Waiting to hear back from Duckworths for current prices...
Anyone got names/numbers for a genuine LR refurb unit???

You just need to remind yourself it’s only money. You’d only spend it on something like food, mortgage, holiday, bills, etc, etc, etc.

How much did you have to pay if you don't mind me asking?

Service exchange engine from Land Rover was £4250 including vat, plus that again on all the other parts, fitting, and a few other jobs .....
We do it because we love them, and sometimes hate them....
