Disco broken down...HELP
Engine cut out, limp mode - just coasted into work car park.
IID tool gives following codes
P000E-22 Fuel Volume Regulator
P0342-31 Camshaft Position
P2290-00 Injector Control
Engine turns over, but will not fire...
Any ideas???
appreciate you're not driving a D4 but if camshaft position sensor is faulty it would be same I guess..

That's a D4 notice I think.
Have you had the oil pump changed with the cambelt? yours is an 07 year according to your profile, so will have the weak oil pump casing.

Cambelt tensioner bolt head sheared????
So to update my breakdown, my Indy tells me the tensioner bolt has sheared off flush with the oil pump case...
It’s almost exactly a year ago I had the updated case fitted to prevent catastrophe and yet this has happened?? Doesn’t sound like the case has failed but the bolt (Genuine LR Bolt) or more likely something has caused/strained it.
Engine didn’t make any horrible noises, so trying to decide on best investigative route - I figured heads off and was surprised to hear my Indy telling me he’d want to take “body off” for head removal - had a quick search and it seems the norm...
Maybe rocker covers off first and compression test??
Still can’t fathom what might have caused this, but happens I guess...

Anyone’s guess.....?
Indy assures me it was done to specified torque.
Would it have taken a year to fail - again, guess work I suppose....
Hmm, why did I buy a D3....more guess work...

top one is a modified tensioner bolt.
from 2006 models, tensioner bolts have a reduced shank to reduce stresses at the weakest part where the thread.
