Is it whilst they are jacking it on the ramp to test the wheel bearings and steering etc? By the end of the test mine's all over the shop with all of the jacking up/down going on
Are you getting your MOT done at Halfords?D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

It wasn’t whilst it was on the jacks. Just on the ramps. They have done the headlight test in off road height. Be interesting if that’s all OK
Yes unfortunately it’s at Halfrauds - cheapest, with availability.
Never sure what the best thing is as all the main chains seem to be as bad / good as each other.
Out local Halfrauds had a car stolen mid test earlier this year, and obviously the owner wasn’t covered as it was left running in the bay, keys in and unattended2010 Disco 4 HSE

Hi,
I use Kwik Fit now for all our MOTs over past 4 or 5 years.
Good friendly service.
Current charge is £25 including retest if necessary.
Work surprise was a failed rear number plate lamp - £6 fitted......
Good stuff...... 8)

Think this one was £29
Fell out with our local Kwick Fit as they were a total pain with my company car needing tyres.
I guess it is all down to individual staff - shame really.2010 Disco 4 HSE

Must be the day for it, mine had her service and MOT via the Indy I use. Passed first time! Don't think I've ever had such a reliable car when it comes to MOT passes!!

I plan on doing so! Really gutted though as I’ve had to go back to work and leave the Disco there and come home in a Vito for a job tomorrow. 2010 Disco 4 HSE

Just out of interest did they open the tail gate and put the hazard lights on when they jacked it up?
Halfrauds do this every time they put a tyre on a Disco. Internet rumour I think.......

Nope - they didn’t go in the tailgate at all.
They did eventually turn the car off when it started trying to compensate for them jacking it up.2010 Disco 4 HSE
