Haha!
The monthly instalment and 3 year period isn’t something they normally offer. Special request only.
I have been speaking to the sales guy for around a week, and they knew that I had been discussing with WD also, so were throwing everything they had at me.
I feel I got w good deal with manageable costs and a get out clause if they don’t pay up.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but that’s what I had 7 years ago, maybe they changed their policy ....
One query, it does include wear and tear doesn’t it, otherwise they have a huge get out clause.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Yes full wear and tear with maximum cover they can give. No betterment or other get out clauses. I asked for a number of scenarios of both payout and non payout. Quite happy this is a good level of cover.Justin

Ok, so here is the result after my first claim for noisy cam followers/fuel injector...
The whole thing is a complete scam with no intention to pay out. Weasel words indeed.
Very quick to take my money, but very difficult to talk to in the case of a claim. I received no formal account paperwork, and no request for service information until a claim was made.
After agreeing I could have a full refund of not able to produce service history the selling garage promised me, I was then able to produce this paperwork. Quentin agreed that my service history was suitable for the claim, then I was told that I had two choices.
1. Take the refund and walk away
2. Go ahead with the claim but lose the ability to have a refund if unsuccessful
I probed deeper on the second option, and was told; “it’s not up to us to prove your claim is not valid, it is for you to prove your claim is valid”. I was then told that this investigation would be carried out at my expense, and any payments outstanding on a full 1 year period would be due on payout. So basically if I could at my cost prove the claim was valid, they would deduct about £1,100 off regardless of paying by direct debit monthly, and I would lose my £500 paid so far. Net result is I would have to pay the cost of the investigation plus the cost of 7 months payments that would therefore be due.
I walked away, took the refund and put it in an account to accumulate for future repairs.
The noise is what I believe to be fuel injectors, which have responded very well to injector cleaner.
Not sure how WarrantyDirect would have behaved. Quentin seems like a reasonable guy, but based on the actions of his team, I would not recommend WarrantyWise at all.

Hate to say I told you so but...............
I also got Quentin’s e mail address, ended up with full refund and expenses incurred due to their lack of action......but that’s not the point, you buy a warranty to pay for claims, not to get it refunded.
I went with WD, just the core protection, to cover engine anD transmission, at £600 for three years It has to be worth the riskJoined the BMWX5 45e group

You certainly did, and I certainly validated you were 100% correct
Thanks for the advice on engine cover Dave. Do you know about any small print about covering an investigation at your own cost?Justin

Warranty direct appears to have a pretty good reputation on here.
Your experience with warranty wise sounds disgusting.2014 D4 XS

With WW.....they wanted my engine stripping down to investigate the cause, at my expense. I couldn’t afford that to then be declined
With WD, I hope not, but at worst I have only lost £600. Full documents are available on line, and hopefully if the worst happens then it’s going to be obviousJoined the BMWX5 45e group

Not a good experience at all...
I am beginning to fee it’s better to just swap the car out with a dealer every 24 months.

Thanks for taking time to update us all. That is valuable information and will help those who want a warranty in the future.
Good luck with getting your current issue resolved, and hope you have a better experience with any warranty going forward.
CheersGary
