Cluster bought and EPROM programmer, will change rev range at a later date.....

Should everything in 1 to 2 days I think.

James, do you have any pictures of the EPROM chip you connect to on the Range Rover and Discovery circuit board?

Got the cluster and the programmer, so need to figure out next steps for reprogramming.

Got the EPROM to read after lots of messing with drivers/software and have identified VIN no problem and I believe the mileage as well. What I’m not sure how to identify now is the immobiliser code and the display type.

Any suggestions James or anyone else who might be able to help?

That doesn’t look right mate have you got it set to the right chip
The lines are too long
And it’s hard mate to identify the code for the other bits as everyone is different
Trial and error has taken me hours on 1 of them i done

I have the editor set quite wide, but can shrink to look just like your screenshot

I have it set to the right 24cXXX chip which I found on the motherboard chip.

On 1 line tours says it all on the one line where it should be split into 2 lines Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Thanks James, don’t think the line separation makes any difference it’s just one long stream/file of data.

I’ll get the VIN updated tomorrow and see if I can identify where mileage is. I presume it’s stored in hex somewhere and I’ll need to figure out where rather than find in the left window as ASCII/Decimal?

Any tips on what I’m looking for with the display type and more importantly the immobiliser code. Not going anywhere if I don’t figure that one out.

Going to give it a good go tomorrow to see if I can get it working and then hopefully final modifications to dash on Sunday with fitment if I can figure it out.

Correct it is just one string of data, there's no lines - that is just how the editor displays the file/string of data.

If James can show you where his mileage and immobiliser code are in his file you can work out the number of bytes into the file this is, and find yours. 2016 D4 TDV6 Corris Grey

Every one I have done is different none are in the same location some at top some middle some
Bottom

Without sitting down for a while and comparing the original with all the ones I have now it really hard to explain and to point out where it could be
There is vin
There is dash type
There is ic security
There is millage

As every car has different code and every car is written in a different place
Doing it your self is gonna be trial and error
I done one tonight for someone on fb and took me 2 odd hours to get it right and that’s with other files now to compare with Disco 3 gone but not forGotten
