Yeah........I'm of the same opinion TBH.
Not had an older car for some years now & not used to all the knocks, rattles & wooshes this old banger makes having driven around in German motors for so long.
Would appreciate any feedback from others who can hear the noise in the vid & whether they diagnosed & sorted it and of course how much it cost them.
Just for peace of mind of course
Cheers

Have you checked the plastic inlets for cracks along the seam, generally there will be a bit of oil around

I’ve got the same noise, sounds like a dump valve. I’ve changed all intercooler hoses and jubilee clips to t bolts. Only thing I haven’t changed is the intercooler. It doesn’t do it from cold only when the engine gets warmer . Have your egrs been blanked ? Do the egrs only start to work when the engine is at temperature Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

Sounds really stupid but tonight after work I disconnected the egr valve electrical grey plugs and my noise has stopped so even though mine are blanked off ( I don’t know how or why ) the dump valve sound has stopped Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)

I though it was the center support for the rear drive shaft. When the support rubbers are broken, the drive shaft rattles in Park or when u stop.

Mine did that woosh noise for years. Never had a problem and didn’t affect the car in anyway. Had the TC replaced a few years back and the noise went away. Hence think it is related to the TC James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.
