Ok, second Fooski Pahski. You all know the puzzled look on the hotel receptionist’s face when they can’t find your reservation, you dig out the email with the res ref and they smile, pointing out you’re not booked in til tomorrow? Minor note of panic crept into my mind. Shocked Shocked

What had happened was I’d requested a price for 5 - 8th Oct for a single, they then managed to change that to 6 - 8th Oct and I hadn’t notice, neither had SWMBO. So long and short of it, after email trail was examined, I’ve got the only room left in the hotel, an “apartment” for the same price as the single I’ve got booked. Phewwwwwwwww.

Good job I don’t suffer from agoraphobia!!

I’ve not plucked up the courage to ask for the WiFi password as they might take it away from me!! Embarassed

Apart from the 220 mile trek up to Gdansk, I dropped in at an old abandoned “secret” (well it was before the fall of the USSR) base at Kłomino, but the derelict charm is somewhat taken away by all the new double glazing recently fitted. Looks like it’s not going to be abandoned for much longer, though they might need to put a proper road in first.

So pic for the day, whoever designed this sign was deffo a fan of the Cubist arts movement. Thumbs Up

Now in my “proper” room, which isn’t too shabby. Just has the church bit of the wedding. Food & booze next, it’s going to be a challenge but I intent to do my best. Thumbs Up

Did the Colditz tour on a previous jolly with anglefire, well worth the detour off the Mway. Thumbs Up

And an interesting place it was too - as was the rest of the polish trip!

Not been on here for a while Del (18pages of unread posts!) but glad I spotted this one.

Looks a fab trip. Thumbs Up

It was a most excellent trip all round, most excellent.

Just having a break from eating & drinking, the joy of having a room in the venue. Not undoing my trouser buttons & belt as I’ll never get them done up again Whistle Whistle

Ooohh that looks a posh Polish wedding - they have miniture wine glasses to replace the normal shot glasses Rolling with laughter

Hope you had an enjoyable Polish wedding experience and your head recovers enough for round 2. In my experience you will probably feel the need to eat again in about 3-4 days from now.
