Yes they’re spot on according to gap figures 466mm front and 485mm rear. To be honest it feels a little better 5mm lower than that.

Hard suspension
I’ve noticed a fault code in the body control module,does anybody think that this could be a problem to the suspension. Photo attached),also are the corner valves and cross link valves supposed to open when normal driving

I’ve recalibrated the steering but it doesn’t put the fault code off.

Have a look at the steering sensor and see if the rotating collar has come adrift from the steering column shaft. If it has, its easily sorted and there's plenty posted on here about it.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

The white plastic ring on the column is tight but some people were talking about putting a dab of weld on it but I can only see a plastic one which obviously won’t weld. Am I looking at the right one or is D4 /2014 different. I’m looking at the bottom of the column above the u/j by the brake pedal ? Thanks

Yeah some people use a plastic / weld epoxy or silicone adhesive if its slipping. If it rotates with the steering without slipping then its probably OK . Though that said there still may be an internal fault.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I have found a link to another site that then linked back here - worth a read and I am going to rebuild my valve blocks. Will let you know if it changes things. At least you know the history of your car

I have 2.7 RRS with 183k miles on the clock. Suspension was so hard it was uncomfortable to drive. No obvious fault, ride heights normal, no error codes. Height maintained even when left for a couple of weeks. A mystery.
I noticed front lower arm bushes and ARB's are polybush, so assumed that was the problem, but not so. I replaced all four struts with OEM units. Now the car is a pleasure to drive. It seems that the dampers get stiffer with age/mileage.
I have another older RRS only 105k miles, and that is a boneshaker by comparison, maybe another candidate for new struts.Chris

I was thinking maybe the shock absorber part of the struts was tired and not operating efficientlt as my disco has 189k on it and i don't know if they have ever been replaced. I will see what rebuilt valve blocks does especially the cross valve part.2009my Discovery 3 2.7V6 HSE
