Have you asked then what is the purpose and reason for a transfer box double flush?- it’s a new one to me, gearbox yes but transfer box no, it’s old oil out new oil in, what exactly are they flushing out?- unless somehow there has been water ingress the only other thing they can flush out is metal swarf from worn or failing components
Transfer box oil change is a 15 minutes job another 5 minutes to recalibrate It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I am so off with lancaster Landrover of Birmingham , it all started on the 2/2/19 dropped car off in perfect working order and I am now told the double flush on the transfer box and calibration is done but your oil leak on the transfer box won’t be done at the earliest the end of next week I need a car we haven’t got one for you do you want your car back and book it in a later date, what a joke will be complaining to customer services Monday and sending a email to jardene motor group

Don't waste your time, LR could not care less once these dealers sold a car that it|
LR will blame Bexit for closing the plant and loss of customers.
I used to be a Gen Manager at JL so I know.

Update on the incompetence of lancaster Landrover Birmingham, after being recovered they have done the double flush out recalibrated and all ok , so now they take out the transfer box to replace the leaking seal to tell me the transfer box as a air line crack and extended warranty have said no it’s now in the hands of customer services, so wish I had kept my D3

I would imagine so but we are talking about fitters not mechanics, I can honestly say that I will not part with a penny to get it repaired, but I could spend some money on petroleum and invite the fire brigade to do some training whilst the bbc film it , as this transfer box is out for the third time it disgusting

Latest update, I called the warranty company to be told that they had authorised the double flush out and the knocking was gone case closed , I repeated myself and said what about the oil leak and cracked transfer box case he looked a bit deeper and said we rejected that as it’s a component failure sent back for good will from LR he then said what I had said all a long why waste time and money flushing out a leaking box , looks like a big bill coming my way
