Yea that’s what I did, they seem to be very rare second hand..... having said that I’m STILL waiting for mine to be delivered, customer service and communication seems to be rarer than the baskets

...I had a personal acknowledgement of the order (ie not automated) from Stuart himself...I had made an enquiry before .
How long since you ordered, and what is their standard order to delivery time - do you know? It does state items made to order, but with many things like this, that can mean anything from a week to 3 weeks.

Ordered and paid for mine 24th March, after having a messenger conversation with the company.... they were showing as in stock on the website....left it 'til Wed 27th sent a msg, no reply, sent another two on the Thursday....the beauty of messenger you can see they have been read, eventually got a reply.....still no basket. Msg'd again on Friday read but no reply
Facebook updates saying they are launching a new basket for the D5....clearly busy with that and not fulfilling orders
Here are the terms and conditions that I and I guess no-one reads
Please be aware that on progressing your order, you are accepting the below terms and conditions of the sale.
Please note, all D2 Basket orders will be made during April 2019, for all other Baskets your build slot will be in week 1 of the next calendar month from placing your order.
Overland Adventure Products do not currently hold stock, we make to order with an anticipated dispatch time of 14 days post build. In the event that your ordered item is in stock it will be shipped out sooner.
All possible efforts will be made to expedite your Xanadoo Boot Basket.
So if you ordered today, it wouldn't be built until the first week of May and then might take a further 2 weeks to dispatch???
Great eh?

Yes, not great at all. Considering I had direct comms with the MD, and I was ordering two products, even a casual 'delivery in 6 weeks' was never mentioned...ahem. not good either.
I ordered at about 0900 yesterday.
I may now cancel one basket as I have seen a used one elsewhere.

I did read the T&Cs as it’s my money after all. Since brexit was postponed a few days I’m still content on waiting. Once closer to the new no-deal date I’ll start canceling as it would mean I’d have to pay taxes and all that which I’m not ready to do as it would increase the original sales price. Also doubt they’re lowering the price to compensate. Let’s call it force majeure

Hello all, thanks for the feedback.
Please allow me to explain the delay, I am a one man band and most of you will know I work full time in the ambulance service, as such I get 1 day a week to deal with physical basket issues, (Usually Wednesdays) I do however also answer as many PM's, posts, instas, emails, txt's, calls as I can 24 hours a day every single day.
I am aware some slip through the net, for that I apologise.
I have moved fabrication due to a huge drop in quality from the last company, I will not send out rubbish, the new fabricators are fantastic, quality is better, but due to this being their first order Jig's had to be made, we were also caught out on how well everything sold. But we had all the 600's & 300's made early March, a week later the uppers were made, the hold up was the powder coaters, they have added about 19 days to the order, I took the day off Friday to collect as the workshop was short due to a funeral, so all of Friday I was adding the Gas Struts, locking clasp, adding the magnets and filing down over 160 threaded ends to the gas struts, lastly removing the powder coat inside the nuts that were stopping the struts attaching.
Yesterday I employed some child labour... my 10 yo step son, between us we managed to finish all 21 outstanding January orders.
They will be dispatched tomorrow and Tuesday.
As for orders that came in between Feb 1st and today, they are going to the fabricator Monday, I have asked for 3 orders to be hurried through as at least one of you on this thread wants the order asap, I will do my very best to get this done.
I do not, nor have I ever wanted to let people down, we are a small business that is going for a moderate loan to be able to hold stock, I do appreciate that the wait time is too long, but had I of sent the new orders to the old fabricators I would be out of business.
I genuinely try my best to ensure what we send out is 100%, I have also outsourced the packaging of the baskets, as this was another delay that I wanted to avoid, for instance, If an order was ready on a Friday, I couldn't collect till Wednesday, then pack, then arrange for collection from the courier.
So..... please be assured that I am working hard to fulfil all order asap, if you message me and i don't reply in 24 hours, please feel free to send me a nudge, I'm not being ignorant, I'm just busy and have missed you.
Thank you all for your understanding.
Stu
P.S. I dont come on here a lot. Belts, done
Lower arms, done
V8 front brakes, done
Gearbox flush, done
Steering arm, done
Tyres all round, done
EGR's, done
EHB, done
re-map, done
Air con re-gas, done
and so on, and so on, and so on!!!
