I just had a look through Topix for the 2.7TDV6 and it is clear that they did not consider rebuilding the bottom end. While there are specs for out of round pistons and bearing shells etc there are no details on reassembling the bottom end and torque specs. The section on engine assembly assumes the crankshaft, conrods and pistons are all in place (as if a short engine was obtained from LR) - plenty of detail and torques for camshafts and the top end but nothing fore the bottom end.
You will need to look elsewhere for your information.

As we know the Citroen manual covers the bottom end torque figures.

Hi all I'm new to all of this but here we go. I have my disco 3 engine all ready to be rebuilt but I can't for the life of me find the torque settings for the main bearings and big ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Ben,
Did you manage to find the correct torque for the big ends? I also can't find accurate torque figures and could really do with them if possible.
Thanks in advance
