Back garden a couple of hours ago, it is now down to just 39.5 degc!
This is of course direct sunlight.
Solar panels were showing just under 70 degc.

The car was showing 37c as we came past Norwich airport, now sat drinking the only cold beer the campsite shop had. Too hot to be putting the awning up yet!

car was showing 38 degrees yesterday just before mid-day but settled down to 35 when I was on the move which I took to be a more realistic ambient temperature. At home the outside thermometer, situated in the shade, was off the 50 degree scale.
Today it's around 25 degrees but muggy with it
