Swing Away Spare Wheel Holder - Closed

New Choices - edited 13:10 23/04/2008
Sorry it's taken so long but, we now have a choice to make and it's time to decide which you want:

We can either go for the "Big Country" unit from APB which no one seems to know or, the more expensive Rasta which Ken has already had fitted.

Big Country - Retail Price is £540+VAT & Carriage, if we can get 10 buyers together we get them for £503.55 +VAT & Carriage (6% discount), or
Rasta - Retail Price 929Euro plus 60Euro Carriage to UK per unit, Plus VAT & UK distribution costs. We can get 12% discount off the 929Euro RRP if we get 6+ takers. I can only give Euro prices for the Rasta units because they'll be imported as needed and as you know the exchange rate is rather volitile at present.

Closing Date set for the 16th May 2008

Take a look at Ken's and TFC's (Vehicle Mods) galleries for pictures of the Rasta unit. Big Country Picture below:

DG ask the person next to you to take you to the nearest Specsavers - I mean, if you can't see that, you might have difficultly finding the shop - no offense Laughing Actually that could have been me, so you're in good company Laughing

Ken, could you please send me a PM with details of your purchase Thumbs Up

Hi Heine,

Yes, it might be interesting to compare prices between what the distributor here offers to us and what we could possibly organise ourselves Thumbs Up

OK let me know when you have some numbers and I will go see Front Runner . But I suspect the freight costs will be a killer

Hi, These do look good! Can it be easily removed when not in use just leaving the bracketry in place? I use my tailgate a lot for work and would not want it fitted all the time, only when on a mission!!
I also have a chum who ships RIB's from Cape Town in containers, I'll ask him if a deal can be done on shipping..
Cheers, Richard.
Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

Front Runner have a new wheel carrier available. About R6k fitted is what I was told. Its definitely a lot stiffer than the one I have. because of its placement it doesn't interfere with the rear PDC either, which is a winner. Might be interesting to see how much play you have on the other models for comparison?
Naturally, shipping to UK would cost, but we managed before...

I think if you can get the Rasta for a good price its the way to go. Seems to be easy enough to fit. Not sure how much "wobble" it has though
