well I didn't really have a need for iid on my rangey as using Delphi on the x53 BMW setting did pretty much everything that the LR setting could not , now I have a D3 with fault codes from the suspension that I cannot find a similar combination of despite trawling this forum and the net , didn't want to spend 400 squid on something that wont get as deep into the D3 systems as I want it to go

yes its worth buying an IID for the D3. The best you can use and gives you full fault codes
The meaning of the fault code can be limited though sadly.
i.e it won't tell you exactly what is out of limits

The live values will give you more of a clue.
You can always sell the lld when you fixed the fault they always sell quickly.

I may end up buying one , I was hoping to sort this problem without forking out 400 quid and spend the cash on doing essentials like cambelt / WP etc
