So I had been trying al the normal avenues, comparison sites, other internet companies, to get insurance for my RRS. I phoned A Plan and spoke with Jamie, just getting the RRS insured was more through A Plan than I could get through confused, with the same underwriter.
However, because I was speaking to a knowledgeable agent, he suggested look at a company that would only quote on a daily driver car if I took a specialist policy on my modified defender. The prices came back £40 cheaper (with better cover) for my defender and the cheapest quote I could get anywhere with the lowest excess for my RRS.
Moral of the story...…..give A Plan a go, an agent will know if anything can be done to get a better premium.
