FYI: All the evidence and the official guidance from ZF is to not do flush, but perform a fluid and filter change.

Thank you I’ve seen good and bad but the bad seems to be when people already have a problem with their gearbox. I’ve had the car 9 years so I think it should be done.

Please don’t misinterpret me. I don’t necessarily disagree.

I do perform an All fluids (and filters, of course) change, every 50k kms on all my vehicles.
And like you, with ownership and tinkering for 2 and 1/2 decades on ZF 5HP, 6HP, and 8HP fitted gear boxes (whilst knocking head) I too have not enjoyed many of the issues others have had.

I do like your attitude: Preventative maintenance is key!
