Discovery 4 towing electrics
I have a 2010 discovery 4 with 7 pin plug for trailer. I now have a tipping trailer that has a white plug fitted same as a caravan to charge the leisure battery. Is there’s plug and play option for this on a 4
Cheers

Most people fit either the standard north and south plugs (black and white) or a single 13 pin euro plug. I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere that just sells a “south” kit. You’d probably be better off buying a complete kit and refitting the whole thing (takes about 20 mins and it’s plug and play) rather than messing around trying to wire everything in...
It would help if you complete the section about your car in your profile page and maybe introduce yourself in the new members section... welcome to the house!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Hi, I have this, I bought a set for my D3 but it didn’t seem to match the wiring, it plugged in but wasn’t powering the correct lights. If anybody can work out if the part number is right for a D4 you are welcome to it.
Regards Lee

The D4 and D3 wiring is different and the plugs won’t swap between the two (ask me how I know ) so the set that Lee has “should” be the right ones. Best thing to do is send a photo of the two sets of pins and see if they match up... bargain if they are right I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

The plugs fitted but the lights were doing different things, took me ages to get it to work for a trailer socket. Haven’t touched the caravan set so should be good,
I do have both sets if needed but the trailer set will need a bit of work
I have a working set now I bought from Searaider.
