Identify a connector

In hunting down my roof leak today, I discovered this odd plug that seemed to just be taped up and hidden behind the left hand D pillar.

Does anyone know what its for?

Wow, I hope not...
The curtain airbags in middle row did look a bit tired, so I am hoping that everything is still safe as this will be the car I'm driving the family around in. Pre-Production

As Pete K said, it looks very similar (= identical) to the airbag connector on the rotary coupling ...

Google images for LR018556 and you’ll see.

The light would be in if there was an Issue

Is yours a 5 seater ?
