Can you take a picture of the connector and any cables coming out of it.

There should already be RCA connectors on there (Female). Just connect there, then cut and splice into aux connector on back of factory unit.

If there are no cables, then from your diagrams youre looking at pins: Connector B, pin 11 to Aux Ground + Shield, Pin 12 to Aux L and Pin 13 to Aux R.


The wires labeled as AUX on the 7" unit are for an audio INPUT INTO the new unit.
You need to use the ones labeled as RCA, as these are the OUTPUT from the 7" unit. Pre-Production

Looking at the cables I am assuming I only need the audio out. What’s the P.CONT CVBS IN1 and AV-out Discovery 3 XS 2008 Manual Zambezi Silver

Yup, you only need Audio Out.
P.Cont is for the handbrake, its designed to comply with regulations.
Use of the device "Should" be limited to when the handbrake is applied.
But this can usually be configured in the settings.
I Ignored that wire.

CVBS IN1 is for a video input.
And AV Out is for secondary screens, but Im not sure what it would display on them. Pre-Production

Hi all

I have the unit wired in and it’s working with a couple of issues.

1. The sound is really quite even with the new unit up full and the stereo.

2. When I get or make a call the person can hear me but I can’t hear them.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Thinking about this is it because I have connected into the Aux straight in the rear of stereo before the amp? Discovery 3 XS 2008 Manual Zambezi Silver
