What is this antenna inside windshield?

Now I finally remembered to take a picture of an antenna on my windshield.

It is a dipole antenna about 15cm long. There is a text 'Calearo' on it. Calearo is a manufacturer of cellular and other antennas.

For what is this antenna and what purpose does it serve? It was there when I bought the car. My dealer had no clue. I have no tracker installed. My handsfree kit has an antenna but it is not that one. It is not visible from drivers seat (LHR) and I did not noticed it until my wife asked.

Any idea why and how it is there? I am sure that it has been there from the day one. I asked from my dealer and they did not have any idea.
Does anyone else have it?

Maybe I need to trace tomorrow where the cable goes.

As I said, it looks exactly like the Webasto heater aerial, which I had in mine for the remote control unit.
