Surely if it was a Brexit victory England would be out of the Euros...
If Brexit rules applied, we'd only have 3.7% of the pitch and would need to have passports repeatedly checked to move into any other parts of the pitch.
Every movement of the ball would incur a combination of taxes and admin charges, and the ball would have to be examined against it's certificate of conformity every time it passed from one team to the other.

On the off chance England win the euros will they the EU ask for the trophy back on the basis of non compliance with EU rules but allow the team to keep the ball? I’m surprised the final is to be held at Wembley, surely someone slipped up there. Only positive so far is we can and all EU citizens can all enjoy sausages without feeling any guilt.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.
What annoyed me is that the presenter for the ITV evening news thanked us for tuning in instead of watching the football. They then spent about 20 minutes discussing the bloody football!!!2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8

I didn’t intend it to be clever or funny.
What it does illustrate is the diverse family roots of key England players and what England’s starting line-ups would look like without first, second, and third generation immigrants.

^It's quite funny.
And perhaps there is some accuracy:

Best for Britain research shows that 13 players in England’s squad for Euro 2020 could have represented another nation, due to having either a parent or grandparent born outside of the UK. The squad is a wonderful example of the benefits of immigration, and is a celebration of diversity.
England’s skipper Harry Kane, for example, qualifies through his Father to play for the Republic of Ireland, and had things worked out differently prior to making his England debut in 2015, he could have been playing in qualifiers for the tournament in a green shirt.
In fact, six out of the eight forwards are eligible to play elsewhere. Kane is joined by Raheem Sterling (Jamaica), Marcus Rashford (St Kitts and Nevis), Bukayo Saka (Nigeria), Jadon Sancho (Trinidad and Tobago) and Jack Grealish (Republic of Ireland) on the list of players that England could have lost out on.

would probably be empty if you go back enough generations.
I still don't get your point though..... what exactly are you trying to say?

Well in this particular case it illustrates the importance of immigration to the England football team and how migration has shaped the “beautiful game”. Yet despite this, migration is not a part of football conversations.
Football Moves People is a digital and out-of-home campaign running throughout the Euros that aims to change this – placing migration at the heart of national conversations around football during the Euros.

Watching soccer-ball at the pub. Ooh, they take it seriously, don't they?
If only the players had as much passion as the supporters. Or something.
P.S. taking the gets one a serious Paddington Bear stare.
