Tayna think I should have an 017 suitable for stop/start. (Late 16 D4 Landmark)

1. I thought the recommendation was for an 019
2. Do I need a battery suitable for stop/start? I thought was what the secondary battery was for.

If you don't have stop/start, it's a 019 you need, that's for sure.

Right, so because I've got stop/start and a secondary battery I just need the 017.

My 2014 D4 has Stop Start and the recommended battery for mine was AGM 019.

This doesnt sound right above…

This is what I found after looking for a replacement for my Y12

Non stop-start is an 017 flooded (<2014)
Stop start needs an 019 AGM 2014+

019 can go in any year but not vice versa. If you fit 019 AGM to 017 spec you will need to chg the BMS settings accordingly.

BMS reset required regardless.

i'm not doubting your info but i have just been down to my workshop and copied the info on the battery i took off my 2013 63 plate d4 hse as follows

l/r logo badge
12v 90AH 850A AGM/VRLA/MF

also showing Exide technologies logo

L/R part number CPLA-10655-CA

on the negative terminal is stamped 23-13 which i take to be a production date

i replaced it with a exide agm purchased from tayna batteries which matched the details above (cant be bothered to lift the bonnet at the mo to see what it is ) but strangely they recommend a non agm 017 on there site using my reg number but thats not what i fitted as thats not what was in it

as a side note when i purchased my d4 it was advertised at a l/r dealer as being orkney grey but when i pointed out to the sales guy that it was actually a corris grey he said not possible as that colour was only available from 2014 onwards, make of this what you want but the chassis plate on the front slam panel on my 2013 non face lift d4 says colour corris grey metalic
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Probably the same Exide I got from Tayna as eightfoot, up £15 in 6 months, few ads seem to have it described as 017/019

JamesJ: as you say pennies are tight, you are on a wet cell and it has managed you in the past so go with a wet cell 019, Excide do one for about £90 from Tayna delivered, if you go with AGM you will have the cost of updating the CCF, you could carry the old battery and a set of jump leads in the back just in case although if you are not doing continuous short journeys you will be ok.Thumbs Up
