I didn't need a spy when mine was in the dealers for repair... They'd put an address in the sat nat and it was stored in 'previous destinations' !

When I bought my D3, I put a tracking device in only to have the Insurance company refuse insurance as they want an early warning system. I then got hold of the satelite company who was insurance approved and told them to install, he laughed and told me where my car was situated it had been installed by Landrover already.
All D3 in SA come with and early warning satelite tracking system.( I dont read the manual).

dont forget to use it occassionally, as the Sim is "deactivated" if not used for certain periods (it might be a year).

Not as well as the spec would suggest - the GPS accuracy is +/- 200 mtrs by the looks of it, and it always reads 0 mph even if it's moving. The microphone doesn't work on mine either, so no sound monitoring. It does work fine from anywhere in the vehicle though, so can be buried under the dash and still able to text you the rough position. I text it from my PDA which allows me to copy the lat long straight into Google maps and show the position on a satellite map. I'm not that impressed with it though - and the instructions take some understanding as the translation is pretty crappy Confused
It's like reading 5 pages of this -
