D3 OIL
My 07 D3 has eighty thousand miles. What oil are people using now. I have always used castrol and add lucas treatment because of it sitting around and hope having lucas in helps with dry starts.
I was wondering if there is an oil people think is very good.

I use Lucas also, I do a lot short trips, I’ve used Mannol Energy 5w 30 off eBay it has the correct Ford spec for the engine. Got let down by vendor this year so got some of Halfords own for £25 for 5 litres Ford spec again.
I do 6 monthly changes.Steve

I must admit I do 2 year changes. I do under five thousand miles a year but hardly ever any miles that don't get it up to temperature

My concern was oil dilution with from cold starts.Steve

As it can be two or three months between starting that was my concern and reason for lucas additive.

Can I ask which Lucas oil additive you use?2011 MY D4 HSE
Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.
