Arrived in Airvault in middle of France yesterday (Sunday), D3 pulled like a real dream, veh computer registered 21.5 mpg. Considering size of outfitt really happy if true. . Kept at 90 kph, as legal speed limit with set up, sometimes went a little over due to cruse control The hook up seemed to develop a strang high pitch squeak, inital thought is contamination of the stabliser system, caravan was in workshop prior to trip! All in all, an uneventfull trip over. Now looking forward to touring around the area to see the sites. Filled up at local suppermarket, not much difference in price (1.28 euros) Weather is good too 8) Henry 08 Disco 3

My Elddis Crusader is creaking very badly when hooked up. It didn't used to do it, now every movement is accompanied by a loud creaking noise.

Contaminated friction pads in the stabilizer. A bit of fine Emery should sort the creaking.

just got home rom France, 800 miles of towing. Deisel was fractionally cheaper (approx £1.20 ltr) at the supermarkets in the Vendee. D3 towed like a dream. MPG was slightly better than last outing to Cornwall, at approx 19.9 instead of 17!
happy days.
Not many D3 spotted over there this year - ferry was half empty.

Unnecessary quote removed
We got back from the Vendee on Monday evening in our D3! We spotted a few and they were all British. I wasn't brave enough to take the caravan as we only bought it on the 23rd July and it's our first.
Out of interest, when towing in the UK I switch the auto to manual and don't use cruise control - computer says 28.4mpg?
