Sounds too good to be true, but I suppose if you were running 3.5kpa or something, it may feel a tad hard. I still think your shocks are wonky, but thats just my opinion

OK here goes
Thanks to the faulty Tyredogs sensors - tyres were totally under-inflated - from 1.8 to 2.5.
Played around with pressures and now have settled for 2.4 in front and 2.6 rear which gives me the best ride.
For what its worth - according to Jan they (LR Waterford) has not yet come accross faulty shocks on any D3 since their inception Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
Defender TD5 110 CSW '00. "With everything"

Well I suppose that makes sense. Would like to drive the car again and feel it with proper tyre pressures, but the main thing is you are happy. just make sure you stay in front of me if we ever drive together
as for never having seen faulty shocks on a D3, well maybe that's his experince, he needs to speak to other dealers though.
