What is it like to wash the VPS? Easier than paint? And how does it look? Kinda plasticky, or can't you see the diference. C'mon techno I.T Heine, post some pics!
Can't really see it on the car - other than where the sheets join . You wash the car like normal , but it does like a bit of polish to buff out smaller scratches . I'll take some pics and see if they are worth posting

Yes VPS is the way to go, but AFRICA is not for cry babys, I bought it
and enjoy it. Mud flaps, plastic trim, battle scars are par for the course.
But we do it differently to the klippies & coke - toyo boys, we drive ours
home, not on a trailer D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

The landy gods forgot about me . Mine gone in to the stealers.
all of a sudden it hated a heavy right foot. Started 2 weeks ago while towing .On monday this progressed to normal driving .They Recon its a faulty diff sensor. ?? Trying out Bedfordview and not my normal Waterfraud . Hope the choice is good, found the latter a bit arogant on my last visit.

All started about 2 weeks ago while towing . When trying to increase power to go up a hill , vehicle loses most power(I presume limp mode) lcd display flashes special programs off and then the book flashes with an I in it . after 2 minutes power returns.
Over last weekend again while towing the problem started to occur with increasing regularity as soon as you accelerated to hard. The same display message but it would not regain power after the 2 mins. If you stopped and restarted it was fine.
On Monday it did the same but now with no trailer load.
Must be honest I thought it was a fuel supply problem . I filled up at the Total in Harties and after transferring fuel from the 2nd tank I noticed the fuel pump strainer ( my new pump has a glass bowl on the bottom with a removable , cleanable screen) had a lot of gunk (looked like snot) in it . The tank had just been cleaned because of the trouble I had had with the 2 previous pumps so I know it was from that refuel.

Sounds like fuel starvation. Particularly with our 07 models and up, the filter is smaller and less effective with the new high pressure requirements of these models.
Hope it does not lead to injector, fuel tank and pump problems like I had.

Since last service - with new diesel filter everything seems fine on my D3 - drove it hard last week-end to Potchefstroom and back , testing the mormal cut-out thing at 4000rpm.
I will most definitely replace fuel filter every 12k km from now on and not wait for the 24k service.
I do not see any correlation between this and the rear diff thing Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Well who am I to tell the mighty Landrover whats wrong. But i agree that it smacks of fuel starvation . The new sensor was delivered to agents on Thursday midday and by late Friday it was not ready yet .Think maybe its still cutting out ? Once asked waterfraud for a spare fuel filter and they laughed at me saying that i would not be able to replace it. that really me off. think thats maybe why i did not go back to them.
Wait for monday and see what happens.

Guess what ???
Go to collect the D3. all smiles from landrover .. More software downloads ect ect and the diff sensor. Get onto the highway climb up the bedfordview hill and give it some horns , D3 back into limp mode . D3 back to them , not smiling any more.

Make them remove the diesel filter and check what is inside = if a lot of black snot , let them fit a new one (actualy fit a new one in any event) and check the condition of the filter after 5k km's - if more snot , probably will have to get tank cleaned.
I will be doing my "snot test" soon and will report back Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
