Should we be lubricating the locks, or is it in the service schedule?
If not in the service schedule & lubrication is required what lubricant should one use, and how please?

Advantage I've found of using remote button 3 to release tailgate is that it reduces power draw on battery when repeatedly accessing the vehicle to get stuff out as I have to do with my job. I was using the normal unlock proceedure but found that after a year or so the battery gives up due I presume to the repeated drain down occurring. The engine will start usually with a partially discharged battery which masks the onset of failure for some time.
