Changing the subject back to ITRIP for a second..sorry Big Al! It arrived last night...fantastic. It is a tiny little transmitter that sits atop the IPOD and broadcasts on any band you tell it, although it defaults to 87.9. What is superb about it, is anywhere I go in the house I can just turn the radio on in that room and pick up the music ie walk from room to room with all 750cds!!!

I bought it as I travel a lot abroad and intend to use it in rental cars etc. Also if you rent cottages or chalets etc you don't have to worry about cables and adapters. Very cool, although illegal Twisted Evil . I'll stop now!

You should go to the Griffin technologies website and download the in-between frequencies (like 87.8 ) that don't come with the I-Trip software - this gives you stacks more to choose from - an absolute must if you live in London where every frequency seems to be taken by some pirate station.

Can anyone recommend a cable to connect my Ipod to the Aux socket? Everywhere seems to be out of stock.

Phil, thanks for that. Re: Cable for Aux, I bought a gold plated JVC 1/4inch cable at Dixons in Heathrow. May or may not be much use to you depending on when you travel next.

Phil,

As your in London try our excellent Retail Store on Regent Street or one of the many excellent West End based resellers...

Also any good audio shop or electrical / gadget shop should have the mini phono to phono cables... is it mini phono in the DISCO3 Aux socket ? I forget.

Sorry shameless plug... but hey if turboman cab try and sell us power upgrades then why not Wink

Simon- This may not be the forum, but while I'm thinking of it, and have an Apple man 'on the line'....What is the current policy on replacing IPOD batteries? I read a lot of negative press in the US re: Apple telling customers just to buy a new one! What is the inside scoop?

All this talk puts me in mind of the Disco 3 review in the Independent - "Ipod on Wheels"

This thread’s gone a bit all over the place, but I was just taking another look at the pictures on the Russian article, and noticed that in one of the pictures the message display was showing a graphic illustrating the direction that the wheels were facing, a bit like the full-colour version of the models with the colour screen, only in green and black (obviously) and not quite as fancy. See what I mean here:

I’ve never had this in the message display of my “S” – is at a feature in any of the range or is this just a press car peculiarity?

Not sure about an S spec but it is there on my HSE

However, this isnt in the manual and therefore may be subject to removal Twisted Evil

Select 'Mud and Ruts' and then go into low range. It is a repeater of the 4x4 information

enjoy it while you can

Nightfox,

Thats the thing, they are bloody good but we are experiencing (in the main) minor niggles with the software that keeps the vehicle running.
