Clutch gave up the ghoust last Tuesday , car now in at Barretts Ashford. Still no word as to when I will get it back. They have said clutch and fly wheel are u/s, but waiting for approval from LR for flywheel replacment. Car has only covered 15000 miles, but I have had issues from the day I picked it up. Barretts have stated that clutch has worn out due to too much towing!!!!!!!!! Have covered about 2000 miles only with a 1500 KG tin tent on the back, thought this was supposed to be the best tow car?
Still, running around in a FFRR TDV8 very nice but want D3 back. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Some dealers try to use the excuse of "arduous service", eg towing, as a first step to avoid warranty issues. Stick to your guns. Don't let them get away with it.
When this is resolved change toa different dealer for future issues. The Bearded Dragon

Help
LR are now saying that they may not pay for the clutch under warranty and that it may be down to fair wear and tear!!!!!!!!!!!!! At only 15000 miles I cannot believe this especially as I have complained from day one of an issue. Any advice out there. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Is that what LR are saying according to the dealer or have you spoken to them yourself? The End

Its a mechanical failure - unless they can prove negligence on your part it should be covered under warranty.

Yes waiting for LR to call back but getting a little concerned as large bills ar being mentioned. As yet nobody can tell me why the clutch pedal would not come all the way up, kept sticking about halfway up. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I had clutch failure after 10K (3 years ago). Clutch pedal halfway down diagnosed as displaced release bearing. New clutch and flywheel fitted under warranty. Dealer also suggested excessive clutch wear could be cause by delivery drivers not using low range when driving up the transporter ramp

Williams - Manchester has replaced mine three times (only 33000 miles)in 2 years - no questions. Although still got problems at times selecting 1st and 2nd. The other problem identified was possible sticking clutch plate causing drop in engine revs when cold with clutch depressed. Not quite as depressed as me at times.

Hi Biffa,
It sounds like you might have a clutch alignment issue (or you ride the clutch).
Fingers crossed, but mine is still fine (praise the gods ). The Bearded Dragon
