Mmmm strange ...this is the base model connectors
One on the left has the connections for aux input...maybee you could try and push some pins in the missing holes
think i sused it out, my wifey has a RR sport S model and isnt in to the ipod so i pinched the connector out of her stereo
my base model had the connector but with only one black wire in it so i cut the wires out of hers and used them to connect it up, dont think she will notice her dash board all in bits
I also contemplated swapping her CD530 for my CD400 but the ariel connectors are different.Disco TD5 Commercial (now gone)

You have to hold the steering mode button for a couple of seconds but the aux mode works fine, i have found that the sound quality is far better as well.
I am connecting my Iphone using the head phone socket.

Yup, did it this way on mine, easy, Ipod works perfectly. However, it should be noted that this will not provide a charge to the Ipod battery.*Disco3 7-seat Auto

Hi,
Came across these postings a few weeks ago and finally got around to doing the job for myself this weekend. I used the Maplin cable mentioned, and cut off the 3.5mm jack at one end only. Straight forward and the sound is excellent. I found that the red wire on the Disco should be connected to the white wire on the Maplin cable, and the Disco blue wire should be connected to the Maplin red wire, otherwise left and right channels are switched round!
Thanks all for the tips, particularly to CFB for starting the topic.
I fed the cable the best I could...
It's not a great finish - can anyone suggest a better way to terminate the lead somewhere on the centre console or dashboard? I tried to bring the cable up to the cup holders area, but couldn't get the trim to shift. Ideally I would like to cut off the jack and replace it with a 3.5mm surface socket, and mount this somewhere, maybe on one of the blanks (shown circled and arrowed). Anybody had any success doing this? Any suggestions where to, and importantly how to, would be gratefully received!
