LR3 product development, the US is finally seeing the light! |
|
Just wanted to share some news with you all who might not hit LRL.com often. We're embarking upon a series of LR3 (D3) related projects and builds this and next year to shine the light on one of the most remarkable vehicles LR has produced since the Series I.
Just a couple intro's to what's going over here:
http://www.lrlmag.com/BlogRetrieve.aspx?Bl...stID=51743 - This one is long but a good read.
http://www.lrlmag.com/BlogRetrieve.aspx?Bl...stID=51157 - Short and to the point.
Companies like RTE and SafariGard are pushing forward in building systems that compliment the existing vehicle platform while offering extended capability and performance. You can expect to see a lot coming from this side of the pond in the next 12 months and we'll have all the play by play you can ask for.
Another development is a set of 17" bead lock wheels (non-bl also available) that Safari Gard is producing which will allow for a 17" tire with a taller sidewall. This combined with a 2" lift could really add to the capability of the LR3. We will be posting the press release on those shortly so stay tuned.
Not trying to stir the pot, not looking for arguments on what's good vs. what's not. Just wanted to let the community know that us Yanks are working on some great products to share with the world!
