Bodsy, just accept you're wrong
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Snowy, not really trying to cut down on the number of threads, just one particular type of thread
Try this as a ebay search string: http://tinyurl.com/Disco3ebay The End

Wouldn't it be more productive for members to say what they want and let the e-bay trawlers do their best to assist .....rather than the current situation of just plucking things off ebay and saying "here's some wheels - not mine"
How many of these postings result in a member actually winning \ buying the objects posted about? The point as made before is that those trying to sell their own items are drowned down the board by these speculative posts ....no? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

No......
The qty of people selling on here is far less than the qty who are interested in buying (IMHO).
I think you'll find many of the links provided results in a member buying or at least bidding on said items. Bodsys Brake Bible

When I place all the bits off the Red Pearl on ebay next week I wont be putting any ebay info on this site. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Someone will ...and then someone will say 'hey I'm bidding on that' then your prospective bidder base will be reduced to 1 because everyone else will back off out of "honour" ...you'll get £3.40 for that rack if you are lucky 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

or just maybe an objector to this action had spotted an item that an "eejitt", not my words so aplogies too, had listed and got his sale scuppered and the chance of a swift profit from a gullable member is lost.
Agree with Bodsy here, and the vote/poll, if I have my D3 how I want it, and see I can help others then I will. Last time I looked it was a helpful forum to old n new.

Surely Andrew, you'd put them on here first to get a fair price offered? saves the e-bay charges.... Bodsys Brake Bible

Crikey, I really don't see what the fuss is about?
What harm does it do posting a link, none at all. It's all in the spirit of the forum to help each other out.
My vote is registered to keep the links. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

In my experience, prices for stuff sold on ebay are always higher than the prices you get in here. If I'm feeling altruistic, I'll give someone in here a bargain. If not, I'll go the ebay way and get a better price for it. If/when I'm stripping the bits of mine, I'll do the same as Andrew.

Snowy wrote:Si, understand what you are trying to do, cutting down on the number of threads. My frustration is that I have the 0.5 of a brain cell to be able to able to set up an Ebay search, and if I find something I want, some eejit (not my words ) on here advertises it and then my little bargain is gone
If people are after something then they should post in wanted, then those that are compelled to be "helpful" could just drop a PM to those searching for said item instead of blasting it over the interweb.
I echo that mans opinion .If someone is trying to be helpfull then PM them the info or link rather than an an All Points Bulletin.I hoild my hands up when I first posted here I used to post the " On Ebay" or " I'm bidding" threads the odd time as did a few of the longtime members if you search back to the beginnings of the site when the site had a smaller participation.Once my .5 of a braincell registered I wasn't doing anyone any favours including myself I quit the habit.I don't hold anything against the people that post Ebay stuff now as at the end of the day their intentions are good but overtime they will come to realise what we all did eventually.
Good discussions on the subject as a whole.
Nuff said on my part , I'm off to worry about more worthy stuff like keeping bread on the plate for my family
