We're not here to promote eBay

Strikes me that everyone is capable of searching eBay for items so there's no need to mention them on here in For Sale & Wanted (especially if it's not D3 related). In the past when D3 items were rare on 'the bay' this practise did help other members out but with so much stuff on there now there is really no need. If you spot an absolute bargain buy it yourself and sell it on for a reasonable profit Wink

The only reasonable exception to this would be if you're selling the item and are willing to make a donation to the site if it sells to a member, but in that case why not make it available on here first anyway, could save you the ebay fees (spend them on a site donation instead Thumbs Up ) and if doesn't sell via the site nothing is lost

Why would forum members want to BUY the bargain and then sell them onto other forum members at a profit Question , thats not very friendly now is it Whistle

If I already have an item that appears to be a BARGAIN, like the Mantec Plate I spotted last month for BIN £100 and a member bought it, he would'nt have spotted it as it was listed incorrectly.

Thought that what the forum was about, in helping each other TBH. Not having a moan, but I personaly tend to only link the hard to come by items and it can sometimes go OTT with readily available items that do appear on the forum.

As for me, I will continue to help if I spot an item thats required. No offence Simon Thumbs Up

Why not create an ebay section, if you don't want to see it don't go in the section Confused Thumbs Up

I think it provides forumers with the opportunity to tell others on the forum about things they otherwise wouldn't know that they need Wink

I've bought stuff as a result of links on here that I ordinarily might not have thought of!

Posting links to items available on eBay can be useful. Maybe if Martin out a section up called extrenal Adverts, or something similar...?

EDIT-Must time quicker!

Because it stops people finding a bargain. I managed to buy a removable tow bar + electrics for £45 (have I mentioned that?) but if people keep posting 'Look how cheap this is!' then bargains no longer exist.

Leave it to individuals to find Thumbs Up

These days you also don't know who you are bidding against as it just says "bidder 1, bidder 2, etc." so you could be bidding against one of your disco3 buddies or worst still just tipped off a non forum member who has seen it on here Shocked
