My Old Man was in the Forties field in the late 70's, he has a picture just like that up on his living room wall.
Alpha and Delta I think he was on.
But the chickens, according to Sainsbury's were on Omega A. Where's that?

I don't want to ruffle any feathers tonight, but to the layman it seems that a whole clutch of chickens was thrown off Forties Alpha platform, and then Sainsbury's have swiftly stocked eggs from chickens fed on Omega A, breaking the Shell contract.

I prefer working on Landrigs:

If I see chickens falling I go to a different restaurant. I have that choice. And I can have a beer in the evening. Roel

Sorry it's in Dutch and with google translator it gets funny.
I cannot believe how irresponsible you have been to allow these chickens to fall off the rig. Are these likely to have drifted South and cause any shipping hazards?
I am concerned, as I will be on the fast ferry from Weymouth to St. Malo on Thursday morning and I don’t want to risk an incident with my D3 being onboard. I can swim as can SWMBO but Ruby cannot…….
Why were the chickens not wearing survival suits? I thought this was compulsory when transferring between vessels and the rig. Has a RIDDOR report been filed?
I think the way that this has been treated as one big yoke is appalling…… 8)

Unfortunately the chickens sunk without trace, we have no way of knowing which way they went apart from down.
I would not be surprised if people in Peterhead complain of their Haddock tasting of Chicken in the near future.
As the Chickens had already died we skipped the RIDDOR.Club Pie n Pea

Apparently I have just heard this is very serious, the police have bought in the flying squad to deal with the investigation.
Apparently one of the investigators is very keen to solve the case, but it is believed he is just looking for another feather in his cap

And if he doesn't solve the case he'll be lower down the pecking order.
