Derek - just explain to them it's actually run by the same company that does the LR extended warranty, that should hopefully put their minds at ease.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Tried that!!! You come up against the "If it's not on my screen it can't be done" mentality! Will speak to Elgin's service manager again when I get my car back from its MOT & see if I can get somewhere. Similarly will talk to Inverness manager when he's back from being sick. I'd rather get this sorted out now rather than when the car arrives there on a towtruck!

I'll let you know what Tesco are like as I am in the middle of a large claim, air conditioning compressor failed yesterday and it was already booked in for a loud whine which is a failed air conditioning compressor. The cars at Yeovil so I will let you know how easy the claim is.

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

I recently purchased a Disco privately and transferred the LR select warranty into my name.

To date...

Airbag fault - Seatbelt Pre tensioner - NOT covered
Cruise control not working intermittent - Rotary Coupler - Not Covered
Low coolant warning - New coolant bottle - not covered
Clunk on suspension - ARB bush packers - not covered
Cracked sun roof arms - not covered
Universal joint on lower steering arms - Not covered

So..... ummm what really niggles me is that LR stealer charged me to investigate, tried to charge 3 x more than i paid.

LR warranty are awful to deal with, cannot provide any clarification, and claim that detail in the book is sufficient detail as to what is covered.

Called them today to ask about the steering issue, asked if i should be paying for investigation, they said if its a valid claim they would pay for investigation, but i wouldnt know that till they investigated, but wouldnt take my diagnosis.... catch 22 me thinks, their response "its the chance you take"

As i'm not using the dealer that sold the warranty, maybe they just dont want to know...

grrrrrr not happy.
 Got our Disco... Love it.....
