Based upon my need as per linked thread to take the car to a garage does it have to be authorised or coudl I used an independent? Really don't want to use Cardiff, place up top of nantgarw hill is very handy for me but Independent, any other South Wales recommendations? Only been to garage once for servicing since I bought it but I took it down to Yeovil and The Large One. Help appreciated.

I think most would recommend taking it to them again for this or anything else TBH I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Think you will have to take to main dealer, for warranty, have not had mine serviced yet, but brother shopped around and Stratstones Penarth road Cardiff did a price match for £313 for 60k service inclusive
He was happy with the service they provided
Think independant was only £50 less

As far as I was aware you can take your Vehicle "whilst under warranty" to any VAT Registrered Garage and as long as they use Genuine Parts and carry out the service inaccordance with the Manufactures recommendation then the warranty stands!
Therefore you can take it to HBH, who I get my Wolf Defender service by as they are half the price of LR!
Stratstone wanted to charge £570 for 24 Month service while JV Like did it for £340! '56 Disco 3 SE - Tonga Green

You can take it anywhere for servicing, but i think as the warranty from new is with Land Rover, that they insist on it being done in the dealer network if they are paying. ISTR the rules are different for servicing and warranty I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
