Due to the luddite reception the Discovery 4/LR4 has received so far having only just been announced I think it's probably best this site is shut down. It was designed for enthusiasts of the new generation of Land Rovers knowing that anything new is often frowned upon on the more 'traditional' LR forums but as this place seems to be rapidly heading the same way after the announcement of a newer version it strikes me that it's served it's purpose
Ultimate decision is Martin's of course but I suspect he'll feel the same way

I didn't like electronic TD5 in the D2 when they came out, and ended up owning 2,
I wasn't keen on the van like D3, but I have one now.

Erm....some people like the D4, some don't and most of us are just accustomed to our current D3s and just see that the market has moved on....
As this site is independant from Land Rover I don't understand why you would want to shut it down just because some people (and they are a minority who are perfectly entitled to their opinion) don't like the new version of the Discovery based upon 20 or 30 press photos?
Sorry if I'm coming across the wrong way Slimer, but it just seems a strange comment to come from a moderator 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Where in the the rules does it state that comments from moderators cannot be strange? I for one am f***ed right off with you busy bodies trying to moderate the moderators from their strangeness. The truth is you all want the magic button ...yeah....you know ...this one .... 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Maybe it should just be locked and remain a memorial to those that appreciate good design for future generations.
