Cant believe the HSE is any different to an S I just put the third row up then clip the load cover in place

No probs in my HSE either, although it has to be at an angle (slightly high and slightly from 'inside' the car) to get past the D pillars.
It is easier to put it in place from inside the car. Tends to be the first thing I do before lifting the seats.

I think it may be possible with just the headrests on the third row folded

must try tomorrow... usually put all the seats up after replacing the cover... a pain to get at the seat latches with it in place.

Anyone know why this should be the case... or does anyone do this ?
Manual states that middle seat should be done 1st if its one of those to be folded.
I Always start from door side seats and fold middle next...
