To save threads getting mixed up we have decided to start a new thread showing info on a brand new product that will shortly be available for the D4 and a usable soloution to your performance tuning needs.
Just to make it easer to understand, the current BAS box internals and firmware currently will not cover the new 3.0L D4 and RRS because of the complex Bosch engine management system fitted to the car.
The new Bosch engine management systems have built in anti tuning protection which is very complex in the way it works and make OBD tuning very hard to do without detection.
Therfore we have decided to produce in conjunction with BBS a totaly new more advanced upgraded product that will

How do you get all 4 wheels spinning from a standing start on a D4 no matter how much power you put through it "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

Really?
I think a remapped 3.0 TDV6 could easily have almost 650-700Nm of torque - almost as much as a truck engine.
If the DSC was disconnected and the floor even slightly wet, I think it would spin it wheels quite easily.
I've had all four wheels spinning on my D3 on slippy surfaces with DSC off 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Would'nt know whether the 3.0L would need to be remapped TBH
Lets be honest, if you - like me - always want more, it wouldn't matter if it were a 6.0 TDV12 I would still remap !!D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Thats my exact point - on a slippy surface Just a quick question to you though, how did you know all 4 were spinning After all, even with the centre and rear diff locks engaged (and they only do this once detection of a wheel loosing traction is noticed) you would only still have drive to one of the front wheels at a time Even when the traction control kicks in drive is lost from 1 of the front wheels unless you have a locker fitted
The quote was "I've also been working on the 3 litre TDV6... managed to get all four wheels spinning from a standing start on the first 'real-world' test - no numbers as yet until I get one on a dyno" so my question still stands, how do you manage to do this as I cant do it with my TDV8 with all of the electric gadgets switched off
All in all, I dont think this is possible on a road (unless on a slippery surface and even then doubtful) and the smell of "bu88sh8t" is strong in the air
The above is just IMHO of course "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

Japseroony, get a D4 and then have TFC tune it. Then you'll understand. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
