I went to the car wash on the way back. The top wash that sprays underneath and then still spent Monday pressure washing more sand off the wheel arches and underneath. That stuff sticks like concrete Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

I've enough sand to make myself a nice beach on the driveway.
It lurks behind the back bumper, waiting.....Welcome "Lola"

Don't mention driveways near Andy he'll be offering to tarmac it!
I was amazed that even after taking it through a pretty deep ford, and jet washing it, how dirty it still is, the underside if still coated in the stuff. I'm not going to worry too much though because Yarwell (LRO SHow offroad site) is pretty much the same stuff so I'll give it a good sort out then. I've not looked in the engine bay yet, but I'm getting the cambelt done on Sat so I'll have to have a look before then.
Really enjoyed the day. The family particularly enjoyed the punch challenge.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Special thanks to Phil for the Leffe's - a welcome addition to my cottage fridge.
If you've developed a taste for the Leffe Blonde Warren (after a few it's very easy to do) I'll get you a box of 20 when I'm next over the water Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. If you want a good selection of beer, go to this place. It's a monastery on the Belgium/Dutch border and they brew their own as well as stock lot's of others. We went there in August and bought back a "selection", they even sell the special beer glasses for the different types
Probably the kiss of death but EPB is still working fine unlike after Yarwell last year when It developed the banshee screach everytime it went on.
Took mine to my local Albanian hand car wash on Sunday morning first thing
As I rolled up I got from the 5 guys who run the place.
The boss says to me, "So you've been offroad then" A classic understatement.
Fairplay it took them nearly an hour to pressure wash and then hand wash the outside and then 1/2 hour to hoover Hampshire from inside the car. And they blasted in the engine bay too just for good measure....
The whole car wash area was yellow when they had finished but the car once again looked the biz - except for a long scratch along the drivers door and on the front wing where I had a close encounter with a bit of branch sticking out Hope it will polish out.....
And now its going to heave it down with rain so extra free wash and there are still yellow puddles dripping of it when I got to the office this morning..... FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

Maybe a visit here could be incorporated in a site 'Belgium' Event! I'm sure J F Lux could find us some local areas to explore Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
WNW - where do you go to get yours washed? You are not far from me and mine could do with another going over.Craig

In answer to the question re Big Mat, his Paj has two cam belts one is a balance belt which snapped and upset the timing on his deisel pump, so two new belts, reset the pump and the Paj lives to play again.
Four D1,s suffered alternator problems but a strip down and clean out of all the sand and WD40 sorted them all out at no cost and they too are all rolling again. The Range Rover Classic needs new brakes after three Hogmoor days in close succession.
Daisy as usual drove home with not a care in the world!
We know this site well and what it does to our vehicles and sand is the normal problem, including them weighing half as much again on the way home as they did when they arrived.
So for TV 4x4 roll this Sunday when we shall be playing in a quarry near Banbury, it's a tough life but some of us just have to do it.In my 4x4 every weekend is a dirty one!

Anyone else suffering after Sunday?
